:sun: Here comes the sun do do do do .. It's alright :sun:

Listening to: let the sun shine in . . .

I think I'll clean my lenses and go out and do a little shooting today while the sun shines and the world is still green. Not many more days left of summer for us. There's already a change in the air.

Perplexing Moments in Photoshop

Listening to: sighing dogs

Seems the more I work with size and dpi and resolution and aspect ratios the more confused I get. I think I've bent my mind around it only to discover that I've missed the mark again.

Should be so simple - everyone says it is so simple. I'm pulling my hair out!

I read - reread... just can't find that key that unlocks my brain to understand how to make the resizing thing work. I'm simply trying to resize for prints and products in DA and CafePress. Shouldn't take a PhD --- or does it?

Freedom

Listening to: pyrotechnics

July 4th should be an official DA holiday! The freedom to be an artist should be cherished and nurtured wherever it may be. Americans truly take this for granted.

There can be peace - or war - but what prevails is the artistic spirit borne of freedom.

And there are the truly free Alaskans who have tied themselves to barrels of oil and the revenue it generates. Not sure they are the same ones celebrating with fireworks lakeside in broad daylight.

My nephew is in Iraq fighting with our US national guard. His mother is relieved that he is somewhere safe from the drug dealers in his city where he works as a police officer and heads up the dealer's hit list. What has the world come to.

My sister has nightmares of her sons being drafted and sent off to fight. She feels helpless. We had several teenagers in Anchorage killed by gunfire last week.

Without art we may all succumb.

Reading: The Tao of Photography

Long time without an entry. Been way too busy with web designs and learning new tricks which we all know is next to impossible for an old dog. Great light up here right now so I'm also out shooting alot.

One child is out "cleaning the dirt" and the other is in her room plotting to make a cosplay outfit "sexy, cute mushroom with fishnet stockings"

I am so deep in denial. I think I hear the seabreezes calling me....
